Karma law states that there is good only if there is bad; everything is complement with the opposite side of everything. So, don’t be surprised if what goes up falls down. The same applies to our group, good time never lasts. We were happily enjoying our life, unaware of the dangers ahead. Until that day… Since that day onwards, taking ride in ambulance and dropping by to the hospital were as if a daily routine to us. Oh gosh, exams, homework‘s’, extra-coco, ambulance, hospitals, prayers, … … Everyday was a busy day, restless, and DEMENTORing (the Azkaban dark magical guardian, that absorbs all your happiness and energy, the most powerful curst of this wicked creature is The Dementor’s Kiss which is fatal, even for the soul of the victim). At these fallen times of ours, we were weak and helpless. However, there was this fellow, who would be there anytime and anywhere whenever he was needed, giving out his best support and lend us his hand, without hoping a single penny for repay. He was, I mean, he is Kuan Ming. Kuan Ming, this is a special paragraph for you: we might have neglected you, sometimes, but still, you will be there to give out your support. We might have been given you unpleasant feelings, and yet, measurement of cost will never be a subject to you, though the cost of helping us was always high. So, just to let you know, the name 7-1 is just only a name, a history, and also a story. The group was founded as 7 people, that is a fact, BUT, that DOESN’T mean that we are pitifully having only 7 buddies. Of course, you are always our buddy, always. While having a bad time, we were still strong and tough. I could still remember the preparation of flowers for the teachers’ day. It was really tiring, the preparatory work stretched until pass midnight, but we really had our fun time. I could still recall the dinner in our class, though it was only Mc Donald’s, but that moment was invaluable, (because we almost burnt the entire school with our candles, haha). There were also times where we worked really hard together, such as The Science and Mathematics Week Exhibition , Heng Kit was the president at that time, we were staying late in school just to prepare the exhibits, it seemed to be easy, but who would actually realized the enormous or should I say countless effort invested in it? All that was strenuous, but it pays, to show the strength of our friendships, worth the price, worth. Meanwhile, we managed to get close to our mentor, Mrs. Cheng, blessed by wisdoms, she was always there to give advise and help out with her own bare hands, the efforts that she put in was no less than us. Friends are important, but having PRACTICAL friends is what really matters. What is the point of having dozens of friends that only share your good time and leave you alone while you are fallen apart? Friendships are expensive, expensive investment if you put it in proper terms. Recall the time spent, the money used, the effort paid, hearts and souls, bloods and sweats, which you have poured in; economically speaking, convert that into absolute amount of money and you will be astonishingly surprised. So, why are we still having friends since it is that costly? Of course, the price of having no friends is even more costly. Now, back to the present time. We have to make another decision again, to choose the next path of life and write the next chapter of our bibliography. Everyone has to go on, to their next destination. Now, everyone is scattered around the world, separated by this physical space and mathematical time, but friendship shall still remains because friendship is beyond time and space, physics or mathematics; it’s a feeling given by God. So, before I end the last chapter of this story, I would urge the people who are reading this article, patiently, to treasure the people and everything around you before it is too late. This may be an ancient advice, but, bear in mind, advice doesn’t pop out from no where, it’s the essences of human experiences. |
